Why do I need an MOT?

Any vehicle over 3 years old is required to have an annual safety check, which is called an MOT test (Ministry of Transport test). This test checks that the vehicle meets the standard legal safety levels.

At Dominion Garage in Cardiff, we have a team of approved Class 4 MOT testers who carry out a series of checks on your vehicle, looking inside, outside, under the bonnet and underneath the vehicle. If your vehicle passes all the checks, we can issue a pass certificate. There may also be “advisory” items, which means that you need to keep an eye on them. Unfortunately, not all vehicles pass the MOT test, but thankfully, we can carry out any repairs that are required and then retest your vehicle and get you safely back on the road.

Detailed estimate provided prior to work starting and great communication keeping us informed of any potential issues through the day. Excellent service as always.Serviced in past few months but needed an MOT which they accommodated with less than 24 hours notice and courtesy car thrown in. Also fixed niggles including otherwise fail wing damage, loose numberplate and rollbar replacement under warranty. Had car back by end of their Friday half day !
